What's involved?

To be a driving instructor in the UK, you MUST tick a few boxes first:

• You must have held a driving licence for at least 4 out of the last 6 years (however, training can be started after 3.5 years).
• You have to be able to read a new style licence plate from 90 feet; glasses or contacts are allowed.
• You have to be a "fit and proper person", which in the eyes of the driving standards agency (DSA) means you must be fit to drive in terms of medical conditions. In addition, the DSA will do a Criminal Records Bureau (CRB ) check.
• Then you have to pass the three Government tests.
  Part 1 is a computer based Theory and Hazard Perception test.
  Part 2 is a Test of Driving Ability.
  Part 3 is a Test of Instructional Ability.

Our responsibility is to prepare you for the three Government tests by giving you the highest standard of training in the UK. Our training courses have been developed over nearly 5 decades of providing driver training and delivering continued professional development to ADIs.

What will it cost?

Depending on you, your skills, your determination and any previous experience, it could cost as little as £499.

Top quality driving instructor training should only need to cover what YOU need, and that is our job.

We have 3 options:

1. £499- Perfect for those with lots of driving or teaching experience.
   Study our course and get your skills up to standard. This gives you unlimited access to over 250 hours of expert instruction, training, coaching, classroom sessions (online), videos, step by step tutorials and development, and study webinars & seminars to cover the DSA syllabus and develop your skills to the highest standards.
   You can train any time, day or night, AND you can repeat it over and over again.
   Once we have helped you complete this, we will assess you on the road with one of our expert team and make sure you are ready for the test.
2. If you need a little extra help on the road, we will let you pay as you go for just £200 a day (8 hours), or £150 per half day (5 hours), so you only pay for what you need.
3. Or, if you'd prefer, we can put together our platinum course for just £999. This starts with £499 to prepare your skills, then we will give you 32 hours on-the-road tuition (2 – 1) for less than £1000 (£999 paid on day one). Terms and conditions apply.
